farmhouse: floor verses.

The last of our flooring (carpet) is being installed today! So exciting! We are loving the wood floor! (Most of the main level.)

I'll post pictures of it soon, but wanted to share this first. 

I got the idea from some friends of ours who built a house a couple years ago. 

Even though we'll never see these (aside from pictures) the thought of them makes me smile... 

 {fyi... Sharpies did not work well. I got some heavy duty markers I had at school and those worked much better.}
