pages.

25 pages!
I started a second album for Lawson (age 1 and up)
It was so fun to go back through his pictures.

I stole this idea from Megan. I put down stickers... painted over them... peeled the stickers off. I love it! Megan is amazing. So creative. Such a scrapbook inspiration!

For the record: my friends were no help at all trying to come up with a title for this theme.
(Except Jana.)

I think this was my favorite page.

I think I had scrapbooked maybe twice since we went here last year. That's so sad! I love it and my family loves to see the finished pages!
We've got to get our loft "scrapbook ready" for this summer!

so much fun!

Our trip to the scrapbooking b&b this weekend was awesome!
We had this great big house all to ourselves!

Raelyn and Roger had moved to their own private house a few blocks away this year.
We didn't have to worry about being too loud at 3 am!

Aren't we all cute in our pigtails?
"They're like a party for your hair!"

This picture just makes me happy!
I think we could have opened our own ribbon store.
Except Diana... her 3 boys haven't given her much reason to buy lots of ribbon.
But she does get to use cool things like dental floss on her pages!

Our snacks.
Raelyn commented that she was impressed with our eating habits... we weren't making much of a dent in the brownies and apple pie she had made for us.
Then she saw our snack pile.
And changed her mind about our eating habits.

But you can eat all the junk food you want with stretchy pants like these!

And you burn lots of calories when you take dance breaks!
Kristi and Megan are the "dancing queens."
(gotta love ABBA)

We had such a great time!
So much scrapping!
So much laughing!
"he called me, kind of laughing..."
I am so lucky to be able to call these ladies my friends!
I love you guys!

You can see more fun picture at Megan's blog!

super day.

Sophie was a little off this morning. Didn't seem quite herself, not wanting to go to Jessi's... but no fever. I figured she was just tired.

Jessi called at 8:30. 101* fever. (I swear I took her temp this morning. Several times!) Another "Mother of the Year" moment on my part.

Corey went and got her, I got my 1st graders busy on something and started making sub plans. Got home around 9:15. Sophie was snuggled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket and looking pretty pathetic.

1 hour later... she is running around the house, singing and playing!
Motrin is a wonderful thing.
So, being at home with a sick kiddo (who isn't acting sick) gave me a chance to get tons of stuff done!
We're leaving for our scrapbooking trip at 3:45. I was going to rush home after school, try and hurry to get everything organized. (All the things I didn't finish getting organized last night because I was so tired after another 12 1/2 hour day with conferences!)
Now I am organized, packed, relaxed and ready to go!
(And I had time to do things like post 10 random facts about myself on my blog!)
Both kids are sleeping.
I'm going to cross a few more things off my To-Do-List and make a cherry coffeecake as a surprise for Corey.

Hoping for lots of productivity this weekend!
Yea, for a Spring Break that got to start early! :)

tagged.

Ok, I was tagged by Pam. So here ya go...

HERE'S HOW YOU PLAY. ONCE YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED YOU HAVE TO WRITE A BLOG OF TEN WEIRD, RANDOM THINGS, FACTS OR HABITS ABOUT YOURSELF. AT THE END, YOU CHOOSE FIVE PEOPLE TO BE TAGGED, LISTING THEIR NAMES AND WHY YOU CHOSE THEM TO BE TAGGED. DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE THEM A COMMENT "YOU'RE IT" AND TO READ YOUR BLOG. YOU CAN'T TAG THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU. SINCE YOU CAN'T TAG THAT PERSON BACK, LET HIM OR HER KNOW WHEN YOU'VE POSTED YOUR BLOG SO HE OR SHE CAN READ YOUR ANSWERS.

1) I first met Corey the summer before my senior year of high school. He was dating my best friend. (Who is now married to one of his best friends... we were all in each other's weddings... no hard feelings!) Our first date was to my Christmas Dance in Dec. 1994. He's been the only guy in my life (romantically speaking) since I was 17 years old!

2) I do not eat seafood. Any of it. (Tuna is okay, but that doesn't seem like real seafood.) Or ham. No big reason, I just can't stand the taste. (Which my in-laws all find crazy!) But I do think I was traumatized when I was about 5. We were at an anniversary party and it was one of those with the giant pig and you lift off his back and eat all the meat inside him (which is just digusting, if you really think about it). My uncle Pete told them that I wanted the apple in his mouth and they gave it to me! Freaked me out.

3) I pop my back. All the time. It started in high school when I was playing volleyball. I would lay on the living room floor and my dad would pop it for me every night. Track coaches would pop it for me all the time, too. In college my best friend and I would pop each other's backs all the time. Corey has tried and he completely does not get how do the slow, steady pressure. He about kills me. So I just have to pop it myself. Often.

4) I have a bone that pops out of my leg every time I bend my knee. It's not supposed to and it doesn't really hurt, but it's good for creeping people out. There's a ligament that is supposed to attach it to my knee that is missing apparently.

5) I have never been a bridesmaid, but I have been a maid/matron of honor 4 times.

6) When I got married I told the florist that I did not want any roses in my bouquet. Lots of daisies and tulips and bright summer flowers, but no roses! He said I was the easiest bride he had ever worked with. I kept saying, "I don't care. Whatever you think looks good. Just lots of daisies, tulips and bright summer flowers."

7) I cracked my hip bone my senior year playing volleyball. (Which would never happen now... my hip bones have much more cushion than they did when I was 17.) But I had bony hips back then and they couldn't take all the diving on hard gym floors. My hips turned pretty shades of green and purple and we had to order special shorts that I wore under my volleyball shorts. They had pads in the hips. Before they came in my coach would have to tape thick pieces of gauze to my hips before every game.

8) My closet is divided in half by a post. Pants and skirts are on the left side. Shirts are on the right. I arrange the shirts by color. All the reds and pinks are first, then yellows, orange, green, purple, blue, brown, white and black. It's like a rainbow in my closet. :)

9) I once Saran Wrapped an ex-boyfriend's truck. It's like toilet papering, only with Saran Wrap. (Which is much harder to pull off than toilet paper.) This is probably the closest I came to doing something "bad" in high school. (I was a pretty good little girl!) And this wasn't even that bad, because we called his dad first and asked his permission. (The guy wasn't too happy with his dad for awhile after that!)

10) My legs are the same length as Julia Roberts. In "Pretty Woman" she tells Richard Gere that her legs are 44 inches from hip to toe. Same here. (If only there were other similarities...)

I am supposed to tag 5 people, but I have very few friends who blog! I'll tag:
Megan: because she is so fun, she has to have great random facts!
Kristin (not my sister): so I can learn more about her
Nikki: because she hasn't blogged in awhile
Holly: I only know Holly through "blogland," but she's very interesting!
Courtney: Who I also only know through "blogland," but I want to see if there are other random things about us that are the same!

just pictures.

Still not super fast, but I did do all 5 pictures at once!
Yea, for that! :)

And I know our tablecloth is a little wild. Corey thinks it looks like something from the 70's. I've decided vinyl is the only kind of tablecloth that is practical at this point. (And the table is a family antique, so Corey wants to keep it somewhat protected.) I was tired of our red and green Christmas plaid (since it is March) and this was $3.97 at Wal-Mart. Hoping to find a spring/summery one soon that isn't quite so wild!

blogger

I just read on another blog that blogger has been having problems and it has been taking people forever to upload pictures. Just 1 at a time, if any! Yea! I'm hoping that it's not just me and my new camera... it's blogger problems! (But hoping they will be resolved soon.)

They may already be resolved, but I am too tired to find out now. Conferences tonight and Thursday night. 4:00-8:00 pm. I love my job, but spending 12 1/2 hours there today was way too much. And I get to do it again Thursday. And be enthusiastic and full of energy tomorrow. Or at least pretend to be.

Going to bed now.

climber.

I posted something the other day about Lawson being such a little climber...
Yesterday I hear, "Somebody come get me down!"

This would be Lawson, standing on the kitchen counter.

He apparently needed 2 spoons for his Play-Do. This is the cabinet where we keep the little plastic plates, silverware and sippy cups.

I said, "How did you get up there?!" (He hasn't ever done this before.)

"I jus did dis, Mommy."
(this is the little stool from the bathroom)

"First you do dis..."

"Den, you put your leg up here like dis."
Oh, Lawson.
******************************************************

Thursday night I had an appointment to get my hair color "refreshed." Lawson was curious about it:

L: What is Miss Amy gonna do?
Me: She's going to get rid of all Mommy's gray hairs.
L: Who did it?
Me: You did!
L: Uh, uh. It wasn't me... it was Sopie!

Sadly, I did have a few gray hairs after Sophie came along, but for some reason the number has tripled since Lawson.
Ornery little man.
