There are two seats... the parachute is inside the big black bag, which is sitting in Corey's seat.
It was basically like a dune buggy, flying through the air. There is a huge fan on the back, but Dan (the flying guy) assured us that if the motor were to go out for some reason, they would just use the parachute and float to the ground.
I think he said they were up about 500 feet in the air.
Dan lives probably 7 or 8 miles from us, but they flew to our house and the kids and I drove to follow them.
Lawson is pretty sure he wants to do this for his birthday, too. =)
I love this bridge...
The kids and I on the road...
The church Corey grew up in...
I love all the pretty fall colors! It was a perfect day for this!
The photos Dan took while they were flying...
Our farm again. Looking at these pictures makes me realize just how far away neighbors are.
There is a children's book I read for Kansas Day that talks about the fields looking like a big patchwork quilt. It's true!
I love all the lines and rows in the fields and terraces...
(And Corey didn't die, like he kept telling me he probably would. So that's always a good day!) =)

Beautiful pictures! I gave my step dad this gift when he turned 75. Dan took him up and flew all over. Jim had a big smile on his face, just like Corey. Great gift!
