My dad is so patient. He is always taking the time to teach in situations where it would be so much faster to just do it himself. I remember a canoe trip in Oklahoma when I was maybe 7 years old. We stopped for gas and Dad let me wash the windshield. I'm sure it was streaky and only half clean when I was done, but he never re-did it himself. He let me do it.
Today he let Sophie and Lawson help him lay bricks for the patio. They each had their own little putty knife to break away the dirt and smooth it out. So patient and such a good grandpa.
Lawson said that this last picture was "Papa helping Lawson."
