yuck.

This was the scene in our bedroom at 4:30 am yesterday...

I'm sitting in the recliner, half asleep, feeding a hungry baby.
I become aware of this wet sensation on the back of my thigh.
I feel under my leg...
it is indeed very wet.
But there is some "texture" to it, also.
Hmmm...

My brain starts to come out of the sleepy haze and I remember a sound I heard in the middle of the night.
The sound of a cat... puking.
Apparently puking in the recliner.

Lovely.

happy girl.

Gretchen LOVES her gift from Aunt Heather and Uncle Brian!

jones christmas.

Corey's family came to our house this year to celebrate. (Very nice for us!)
So many fun presents. Such a great time.

Sophie has been asking for a swimming puppy for months. She was thrilled!

A marshmallow gun. So much fun! I'm not sure who had more fun with it... Lawson, or the grown-ups!

excited.

This little guy is so fun to open presents with.
His faces... his gasps and happy shrieks... his excited voice.
So fun to watch.

christmas day.

Santa's gifts were a BIG hit! They actually played with the Lego table and Barbie house for about 30 minutes before even asking to open anything else!

"I never even thought about asking for a Barbie house!"

Santa (aka: Daddy) built a really awesome table!

Getchie (her new nickname from Lawson... he calls her Getchie Elasky Jones. Who knows??) stayed awake for a few presents before crashing in her bouncy seat.

Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus!

Happy first Christmas, Baby Getchie!

Grandma and Grandpa came down in the afternoon.

More fun presents! Lawson LOVES his remote control car! Sophie's cheeks have been permanently pink from her new makeup kit! :)

Grandpa and Lawson did lots of building together!

The kids even talked Grandpa into pulling them in the sled for awhile before they left. (They didn't last long because it was so, so cold!)

Such a fun, fun day!

Merry Christmas!!!

ho, ho, ho.

Santa's been here...

Snowmen for Sophie, stripes for Lawson, snowflakes for Gretchen.

Hoping we'll have late sleepers in the morning.
Mommy and Daddy are up way too late!

christmas pj's.

I totally had a favorite child tonight...
the calm, quiet one in the middle...

christmas eve.

More traditions.

Pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream...

Wrapping gifts for each other...

Peppermint shakes...

watching "It's a Wonderful Life..."

We skipped the Christmas Eve service at church this year. We wanted to go to the 4 o'clock service and Corey didn't get off work until 3:30. At 3:15, all 3 kids were sleeping. It was also crazy cold. And I was still in my pajamas. We decided to just be together in our cozy house instead of venturing out.

Opening one gift each... new Chrismas pajamas!

christmas card.

I'm pretty sure One-Hour photo was created for people like me.
Christmas cards ordered yesterday... printed... picked up... cards addressed and mailed the same day. (Our letter had been done for awhile, thank goodness.)

We went with two pictures for some cards.
Gretchen was only 2 weeks old when we had family pics taken at pre-school. She's changed just a bit!

Merry Christmas from the Jones'

christmas lights.

Pajamas.
Hot chocolate.
A favorite family tradition.

The kids' favorite... the "crazy house."
