finally.

My 2008 blog book is done.
And ordered.
426 pages.
1211 pictures.
Hours and hours and hours spent working on it, but I know it will be worth it.

I can't wait to get it!

p.s. When I was so frustrated that it kept shutting down on me?? I emailed Customer Support, they got back to me right away, sent me a "patch" to download and totally fixed the problem! I highly recommend blurb.com!

father's day card.

Sophie brought home a cute Father's Day card from Sunday School today. (It snuck up on her teacher last week!)

My dad is GREAT!
My daddy is 39 years old.

He weighs 30 pounds and is 18 feet tall.

His hair is brown and his eyes are blue.

My daddy likes to wear farm clothes.

He likes to cook hot dogs.

His favorite Bible story is Jonah and the whale.

His favorite hobby is watching basketball.

Daddy always tells me Bible stories.

It makes him happy when my brother is not so loud. (love this one!)

If he could go on a trip, he would go to Chapman, KS.

I really love it when my dad takes us on trips.

sold.

Thank you, Facebook!

A friend that I teach with just happened to be looking for a more reliable car for her daughter.
They looked at it tonight, drove it, and made us an offer!
The best part?
They aren't in a big hurry for it, so whenever we find a van, we are just supposed to give them a call and they'll write us a check!
Yipee!

Time to start doing some serious van shopping!
We know what we want... now to find a good deal!

Happy Father's Day...

to my favorite dad...

and to our favorite grandpa!

We love you!
We hope you're having fun in Houston!

our favorite guy.

Someone asked me awhile back how I manage to be a mommy and work full-time.
This is how.
This guy right here.

I sat at Sophie's t-ball game last week, watching the dads that came straight from work, wearing their slacks and polos, barely making it to our 6:30 game... and I thought of my husband.
My husband who works goes to work at 5:45 in the morning.
My husband who works 10 hour days.
My husband who spends the majority of those hours outside, often in 100* weather.
My husband who gets frustrated with his job, the hot weather, the people he works with, the really hot weather.
But he does it almost every day.
He complains about it, but he does it. :)
And he does it for us.

These kids are so lucky to have you as their daddy.
I am so lucky to have you as their daddy.
I can't wait to see you this fall... coming home from work, falling asleep on the couch with a baby girl snuggled on your chest.
You're the best.

Happy Father's Day to our favorite guy!
We love you!

for sale.

When we found out about this new little baby coming to live with us, one of the first things that hit us was... we're going to need a bigger car.

We had talked about it and knew we would want a bigger one someday... we just hadn't planned on it for this summer. But... God apparently thought now was the time.

So... this shiny thing is looking for a new home...

2002 Nissan Maxima
78,000 miles
great condition
brand new bumper :)
$7800

We have been really, really happy with this car and would gladly have kept it a few more years.
We just can't fit 2 booster seats and a carseat easily in the backseat.
So we are about to become a mini-van family. :)

If you are at all interested, or know someone who is, please let me know!
You can leave a comment or email me at cormee at cox. net

ugh.

So frustrated right now.
I've been trying to work on my blog book for 2008.

I started it back in February, but then the first trimester with this baby just completely zapped me and it was left untouched for months.

Trying hard now to finish it up.

I figure it takes me an average of 1 to 1 1/2 hours to do each month.
Lots of time, but totally worth it in the end.
I have been working on September all day.

The program has kicked me off at least 20 times today. Ugh.
I keep going back, telling myself that I am going to finish this month.

One post left and it kicked me off 4 times in a row.
So I gave up.

Shutting down my computer, hoping that whatever bug is causing this will not be around tomorrow. October, November and December... I want to finish this. I want my book. I want this stupid program to stop shutting down on me!

Ugh.

bubbles & bikes.

Two of our favorite things right now...

(stopping to play in the dandelions...)

And ball... Lawson could play ball every day.

patio.

Our new favorite place to hang out in the evenings...

Corey dug this all out, laid the stone (which needs swept off in this picture), did all the landscaping and bought me fun, colorful chairs for Mother's Day! A little table will be coming soon and Corey's firepit comes out for special occasions!

The kids spend so much time in the driveway... riding bikes, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles, but we couldn't see them from the deck. This is perfect!

play time.

sprinkler ball.

I was kind of afraid to get this out this summer.
I figured Marley would get too excited, jump on it and pop it.
She did get excited (and really wet!) but all she wanted to do was run through the water and try to drink it!

t-ball.

We're halfway through another season of t-ball...
pretty sure it will be the last ball season for Sophie.

She only agreed to play this year because two of her best friends, Gracie and Abi would be on our team. (Corey was recruiting assistant coaches.) Good thing... they are the only 3 girls on the team!

But she is having fun!

She's getting some pretty good hits... see that ball flying?

And she looks awfully cute out there! :)

The most challenging part of the game is keeping this little man entertained.

playdate.

Our playdate at the park was rained out, so Jody and I decided to meet at the library instead.
We sometimes spend time curled up in here, looking at books...

But today the kids were more interested in this...

Sophie figured out the tricky spinner wheel thing...

Lawson never quite got the hang of it...

Such good friends.
So much fun.
We never did check out any books.
Next time.
