I stayed up late last night, baking gingerbread cookies for my 1st graders (we've been hunting for him and he's been leaving us clues everyday. Today was supposed to be the last day.) Somehow I knew... if I went ahead and made the cookies... we would get a snow day. (You know if I had risked it and NOT baked them, we totally would have had school. You're welcome, fellow teachers.)
So, so happy when I started getting texts at 5:30 am! Everybody slept late, but they were all really excited to get outside and play in this stuff! (Even the dog!)
I guess it's probably time to take the pumpkin scarf off Marley...
Sophie headed inside before the other two, but it didn't take her long to come join Lawson when we hauled this tub of snow in. They had so much fun the last time we did this. A little food coloring, some spray bottles, dishes, ice cream scoops... they were entertained for over an hour.
And this little miss was happy playing with these and snuggling on the couch with me to watch "Arthur."
One napping.
Two playing computer games.
Time to start conquering that long to-do-list!

I hope you get to be at home on Friday! Those gingerbread people can wait for the new year!
Your pictures of your "snow day" weather in the background of your kids playing makes me giggle :) Looks like a "nice" winter day here in the Dakotas! Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas!
These photos make me smile :)
