I have two friends named Danielle.
They are both as sweet as can be. The kind of women that you just love to be around. They are sweet and encouraging and kind and thoughtful... just awesome, awesome Christian women. Two of my favorite people. I am blessed to know them both.
One Danielle has kids that are older than mine. Her youngest is one of Sophie's best friends. She is the friend I go to for parenting/mommy advice, encouragement when I feel like the worst mommy ever, help with carpooling and so many other things. She stops by my classroom most mornings and always puts a smile on my face on those stressful mornings.
The other Danielle is my organizery twin. (We make up words like organizery and listy.) When I found the idea for the Christmas planner... I knew she would love it. When I wanted to go shopping for a cute new bill holder and notebook... I knew she had to be the one to go with me. We talk about doing things like spending an evening in each other's classrooms, sharing ideas and organizing tips. (She teaches 1st grade at another school across town.) We laugh at how similar we are sometimes.
Would you do me a favor? Would you pray for this Danielle?
So would you pray for Miss Britton? Pray for her doctors and nurses? Her surgeons? All her family? Especially her mommy and daddy? I know they would appreciate it!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7

So many thoughts and prayers headed your way, Danielle!
Love you!

praying for sweet Britton!
Love her name and her sweet face!!!! :)
what a sweetie! i can't imagine what she will have to endure...i will send lots of prayers tonight for her, her family and everyone involved in taking care of that sweet face.
i had the honor of kissing on miss britton's sweet face tonight, she is such a lovable little girl. Meg's awesome pics capture this great family perfectly! Thanks for encouraging others to lift them up in prayer.
i'm praying right now...
I will be praying for this sweet family. My little sister (now 29, so I guess not so little anymore) has a cleft palette and lip, so I know what this family is going through. Little Briton will be just fine though, especially with lots of people praying for her!!
oh my.
I will be praying.
Praying!!
What a beautiful family. I will be praying!
I just posted Phil. 4:6-7 on facebook as I had read it in my devotions this morning. But in The Message translation. Then I see you have it posted too. Here is what it says in the Message: Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
May all go well, especially recovery. How hard!
Praying!!
thanks for sharing! praying...
A little speechless at the moment. I am praying now and our family will continue to pray for this sweet family and baby. Like you, sometimes I feel like all I can do is pray. Why do we feel like this is a last resort? The very best thing to do is pray! This should be our first line of defense. Please keep us posted on Britton's progress.
Oh my goodness, I will pray for them - I remember Danielle. What an adorable family!
Big prayers for Britton!
I will definitely be praying for that sweet baby girl and her family!
From another Danielle in Texas!
I'll be praying too. We have a powerful God who wants our prayers! Our family know first-hand just how powerful prayer is.
Praying out in SC for precious Britton!
I actually know Danielle (from our good old MAYB days :) and her husband (we were in the same league in HS) - small world!
Can't imagine what they are going through! Praying for them!
