daddy's helpers.

While I was shopping yesterday, the kids spent the day helping Daddy work on a brick patio that will connect the deck and the garage. There was a cute little brick sidewalk that had to come out and now we just have a big muddy area.

Pouring rain slowed the progress today.

I love dreary, rainy days.

When I get to stay inside. At my house.
Not at school with 21 stir-crazy 1st graders.
Days like this are perfect for naps.
I didn't get one today, but the kids both took great ones.
Even slept through the crashing thunder and lightning.

Let's hope they sleep through any storms tonight...
