kiss on the cheek.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ's power may rest on me."
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

I have a sweet friend that would call this "a kiss on the cheek."
God sending me a little reminder... just when I need it.

His grace is sufficient.
His power is perfect.
I am so, so weak right now.
But I can do this.
Through Him... I can do this.

Thankful for that little kiss on the cheek.

Elisabeth Elliot said "It takes the deep water and the hot fire and the dark valley to teach us the walk of faith."

Here's to your faith, and mine too, increasing when we take the journey set before us.

As a parent, I am daily reminded of my "perfect weakness." Kids are good for that! I need to post this verse throughout the house and in my car. Oh, how I hope His Grace will be sufficient.

i've learned this year to try to focus on right now. take one tiny step at a time. I heard, on one of my darkest days, that we are taught to pray, 'give us oh Lord our daily bread'. That means He wants us to ask for what we need today -and He will freely give that! We get overwhelmed when we start asking for tomorrow's portion too.

Or...take Dory's advice and "Just keep swimming!"

Either way...hang in there!
