Remember our fun little road trip to Abilene this summer? This was one of the main reasons we went... PlaneJane.
Danielle fell in love with their happy colorful goodies at Beki's spring barn sale . She commented one day that she hoped they would be back in the fall because she wanted to buy more jewelry. She was pretty excited when I said that the girls who make it are from my hometown. She added "Road trip to Abilene" to her summer list right away.
Their stuff is just happy, colorful and cute. All things I love. Kendra and Katie are happy and cute, too. (I haven't talked to Kendra much (our little pitstop in Durham slowed us down that day and we missed getting to see Kendra), but her new kitchen is white, turquoise and red, so I'm pretty sure I would like her.) =) They have 7 kids between them and they are both amazing mommas. You can just tell.
In all their free time, they manage to make cute things like this...
Every color you can imagine. And every single one of them will make you smile. Promise.
I bought this big turquoise charm and got compliments on it the first time I wore it! (I put it on the other day with my red sundress. Loved it!)
I also got these sweet little flowers... yellow, pink and orange. They are cute by themselves...
or together... (or even adding them on with a different necklace that you already have!)
I bought this cute birthday calendar clipboard at the barn sale. I love this idea! All the birthdays you want to remember organized in one place. Organized and cute... two of my favorite things!
Every month is decorated cute... this little bird is one of my favorites...
But I love the little flags...
and the bee...
Katie told me that her family cut out pictures of of people with a little scrapbooking circle cutter. Then they put the picture beside the person's name/birthday. I think kids would love that!!
But... in all my decrapifying earlier this summer and with my goal to simplify... I decided that this is something I don't really need. I LOVE it, but I don't really need it. So I decided to do a little giveaway and to share it with one of YOU!
I asked Katie about it to make sure she wouldn't mind and she gave me this necklace charm to include with it! It's just like the one I bought, only smaller. It's bigger than the 3 little flowers I bought, but smaller than the big one.
(I should probably go measure it or something, but I'm feeling too lazy to do that. Sorry.)
So... this happy little flower charm and some organizery cuteness could be YOURS!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win...such a C.U.T.E. idea and I'm sure I could put it to good use. I also love the charm...your necklace is beautiful by the way! Thanks for such a lovely blog with pictures of your adorable family. I'm a regular follower from Farmington Hills, Michigan and love seeing life in Kansas through you, Meg, Amanda and The Macs! (I believe I found you through either Amanda or The Macs a few years ago, SO happy I did!). Have a blessed day and thanks for the chance to win-keep up the fantastic work on a great blog Amy!! Hugs from afar my friend! :O)
ReplyDeleteWell, I would love the birthday clipboard as well :) Let's see -- you know me. I don't live far from you at all (in fact, it might even be less than a mile -- who knows). I see you at church frequently. And, I've watched Gretchen in the nursery a couple of times when I've subbed (she's always been super cute and good for me). Oh, AND, Sophie was in my VBS class this past summer with her friend, Abi. And, I believe I've waved at you several times when I've been out walking with our little guy :) I originally found your blog via Jess' blog. How's all of that information?
ReplyDeleteCute giveaway!! I found your blog several years ago through the Macs. I am also a teacher, and I have a daughter and a son. I enjoy reading your blog...your transparency is refreshing! It isn't easy working full time and taking care of a family, and it is nice to know that there are others out there with some of the same struggles that I have. You inspired me to "decrapify" this summer, print a blog book (I am trying to keep up with that), and to make a summer list. Thanks for sharing your life through your blog. You always make me smile!
ReplyDeleteI love the blog world so that I can keep up with my "Kansas" friends from good old, North Dakota! Your blog is a common stop in my blog roll - Has been for years!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute stuff by the way - totally love new ways to organize!
Cute stuff! I found your blog through Jody's. She's my second cousin, but I found her blog one day when I was "blog-surfing." I love keeping up with the pictures of your kids and your organizing.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I always read your blog. Found it years ago when Cora was sick. You have the cutest kids. I live in Miami, FL..
ReplyDeleteI've commented before and we discussed how your aunt lives close to where I live in Texas! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the turquoise flower! I am going to have to check them out on FB. I am a list-maker like you are and often write things down so I can mark them off, too! Thanks for being so candid about parenting - I feel so good knowing I'm not the only parent that is cranky! Hugs from Texas!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! You have such a cute family. I have a little boy a month younger than Gretchen.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the Macs a few years ago and have continued to read your blog. I live in Colorado, married, work at home mom, four kids and lots of activities. I love reading your blog, your kids are adorable and you take great pics of your life. I enjoyed your "decrapifying" posts, I am a regular purger myself - working at home makes me that way I think. Also, I have lots of teachers in my family and also friends, so always enjoy your school related posts. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I also don't need these things, but I would sure love them! ;) And I know just where I'd put the birthday calendar. I love reading your blog Amy. You make me smile!

Goodness knows I could use some help organizing... :) and accessorizing for that matter! I think I found you through Beki's blog maybe, or Meg's? And I stayed because it's so refreshing to read what other working mom's are up to! Also because Gretchen inspires me to have a third kiddo... if only my husband agreed...
