Only in Kansas does the temperature drop 40* in less than 12 hours.
And my poor little students who did not listen to their teacher yesterday when I told them it would be cold today... froze their little selves this morning in shorts and tank tops.
Crazy weather.

It details a blizzard in the 1800's when the mercury fell over 70 (or 80) degrees in a similar time frame as you just experienced and a number of school children froze to death. It was a fascinating book frm a historical and meterological perspective, sadly politics were involved as well.
That book is about my husband's relatives! Man, I really need to read it. So many books, so little time.
