So this wasn't even one of my students... but the story was just too funny. I want to remember it.
2nd grader: My daddy had to stay home from work today.
Teacher: Why?
2nd grader: Because he got flashed.
Teacher: What?!
2nd grader: He got flashed.
Teacher: (wondering if this is some kind of sexual harrassment ordeal)
What does your daddy do?
2nd grader: He's a welder.
A working mom... trying to find the balance between wife, mommy, teacher and friend. Hoping to remember all the little things that make me smile.
